Day 01: Arrive Hanoi. (Apr 5) : Flight-Asiana (OZ) #733 (ETA 9:50 pm)
Transfer to hotel. 2 nights in Hanoi.
Day 02: Hanoi.  (Apr 6) : Morning at leisure.  Afternoon Hanoi Tour. Dinner at the Indochina Resturant.
Day 03: Hanoi. (Apr 7): Join Morning cooking class followed by lunch at the Sofitel Metrople Hotel Spices Garden Restaurant.  Transfer to the old quarters  for an afternoon of shopping and the Waterpupet theater show.  Evening transfer to the train for overnight.
Day 04:  Lao Cai.  (Apr 8): Visit Bac Ha Sunday market. Transfer to Sapa.  Afternoon market visit and cooking class (dinner) at Sapa Home Restaurant.  Overnight in Sapa.
Day 05: Sapa-Hanoi. (Apr 9): Trekking Excursion to Mong Sen and Ta Phin. Evening transfer to train for overnight to Hanoi.
Day 06: Hanoi- Halong Bay.  (Apr 10): Arrive Hanoi at 5:30 am.  Transfer to Hoan Kiem Lake for Walking tour and nearby restaurant for breakfast.  Transfer at 8 am to Halong Bay for overnight Cruise on traditional junk.
Day 07: Halong Bay-Hanoi-Saigon. (Apr 11): Disembark the junk and transfer to the Hanoi Airport. Fly to Saigon.  Dinner at Quan An Ngon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 08: Saigon - Can Tho.  (Apr 12): Drive to Can Tho with sightseeing in My Tho.  Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 09: Can Tho- Chau Doc. (Apr 13): Floating Market tour by boat in Cai Rang. Drive to Chau Doc.   2 night in Chau Doc.
Day 10: Chau Doc.  (Apr 14): Morning market tour & cooking class (Lunch).  Afternoon excursion by boat to the floating villages on the Mekong Delta.
Day 11: Chau Doc -Saigon. (Apr 15): Drive to Saigon.  In Saigon, visit War Remnants Museum & Notre Dame Cathedral.  Overnight in Saigon. 
Day 12: Saigon.  (Apr 16): Check out of hotel.  Afternoon Saigon sightseeing:  Lacquerware workshop, Cholon (Chinatown) & Ben Thanh Market.  Dinner at Mandarin Restaurant.  Transfer to airport.  Depart Saigon.  Fight:  Asiana (OZ) #732 (ETD 11:50pm).
Day 13:  Arrive in Seattle. (Apr 17):  (please note there is a 12 hour layover in Seoul if you do not take the add on.)


Optional add on:  Seoul, Korea/ Minimum 4 persons.


Day 1: Seoul.  (Apr17):
Arrive Seoul, Flight:  Asiana (OZ) #732 (ETA 6:55 am). Transfer to hotel .  Full Day Shopping & Sightseeing Tour by Hop-on/Hop-off Tour Bus (bus ticket included) & Public Transportation (not included) with Guide: Myeongdong, Namsangol Hanok Village, Dongdaemun Market/Fashion Town & Isadong/Samzie-gil.  Public transportaiton (subways, buses, taxis) are no included.  Please pay at time of  use and pay for your guide as well.

Day 2: Seoul.  (Apr 18): 5-Hour Seoul Sightseeing Tour by Public Transportation (not included) with English-speaking Guide (9:00A-2:00P):  Visit Namdaemun Market, Seoul Tower by cable car (admission & cable car ticket included) & Deoksugung Palace (admission included; changing of the guard).  OR Join a Kimchi Making Tour (9:00A-2:00P) @$25 per person additional.  Transfer to airport for evening flight to Seattle.  Depart Seoul. Flight: Asiana (OZ) #272 (ETD 6:40 pm).

*Sample Itinerary*


Day 01: Phuket.  Sightseeing, Nga Bay cruise evening show.

Day 02: Phuket.  Morning Cooking Class.  Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 03: Chiang Mai.  Fly to Chiang Mai.  Arrive with evening Kantoke Dinner and cultural show.

Day 04: Chiang Mai:  Morning city tour visiting Wat Phra Sing, Wat Ciang Man,Wat Suan Dok,Wat Doi Suthep.  Evening at leisure.

Day 05: Chiang Mai:  Full Day cooking class at the Khum Lanna with lunch.

Day 06: Chiang Rai-Chiang Saen-Golden Triangle.  By car with Sightseeing on the way, Wat Phra Dhat Jom Kitti & Wat Chedi Luang. Chiang Saen, former capital of the first Thai Kingdom, situated directly on Mekong River at border between Thailand and Laos. Continue by longtail speedboat upriver on the Mekong towards Golden Triangle where borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet.

Day 07: Chiang Saen-Doi Mae Salong-Mae Sai-Myanmar-Chiang Rai.  By car with lunch in Doi Mae Salong villa.  Proceed to Mai Sai, the northernmost Thai town on the Myanmar border. Walk across the boarder into Myanmar and visit the local market and temple by trishaw.  Continue on to Chiang Rai for one night with dinner and entertainment at the hotel.

Day 08: Chiang Rai- Thatorn-Hmong Hilltribe.  Leave hotel for boat landing. Board simple longtail motorboat for 3-hour journey up Kok River, passing tiny hilltribe villages, bamboo huts and jungle scenery. Disembark at Ban Pha Tai and continue by vehicle to visit Ban Lorcha, a Phami Akha hilltribe community center. This community-based tourism development project promotes sustainable, self-reliant development to improve the quality of life of villagers of this Akha Community, and is a model for tourism in Hilltribe villages. Drive to Mae Kok River Lodge for lunch. Continue by dar to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for one night with cultural Meo dance show and BBQ dinner. The hotel has beautiful gardens and scenery.

Day 09: Hmong Hilltribe Lodge-Chiang Mai.  By car with lunch on the way. Two nights in Chiang Mai.  Visit the night market outside your hotel, it has everything.

Day 10: Chiang Mai.  Elephant camp with elephant safari into the surrounding countryside.  Orchid farm with lunch. Afternoon visit handicraft village where they manufature lacquer ware, woodcarvings and Thai silk. 

Day 11: Depart for Seattle.

Optional add on: Bangkok and Seoul, Korea.

(2008 ) Price $3,265.00 per person based on double occupancy.  Price includes: All air/land transportation, hotel, breakfast daily, cooking classes, 6 lunches, 2 dinners (welcome & farewell), other meals, sightseeing, and bicycle tour.  
Air via Eva Airlines.

 

Day 01: Seattle-Taipei-Denpasar, Bali.

Day 02: Tanjong Benoa. Transfer from Denpasar Airport to Tanjong Benoa Ubud.  Rumah Bali Hotel. Evening: welcome Dinner at Jimbaran Beach Restaurant.

Day 03: Tanjong Benoa.  Morning Cooking Class at Bumbu Bali Cooking School. Lunch included. Afternoon Bali sightseeing tour & shopping at Kuta.  Dinner on our own.

Day 04: Candidasa.  Transfer from Tanjong Benoa to Puri Bagus, Candidasa with sightseeing on the way. Lunch is included.  Dinner at hotel or elsewhere on our own account.

Day 05:  Candidasa3-Hour cooking class at Puri Bagus Cooking School with lunch. Remainer of the day at leisure. Dinner on our own.

Day 06: Candidasa Day on your own. Planned dinner on our own.

Day 07: Ubud.  Transfer from Candidasa to Ubud with sightseeing along the way.  Lunch at local Ubud restaurant included. Dinner at Taman Rahasia on our own account. 

Day 08: Ubud.  Cooking Class at Secret Garden/lunch/afternoon shopping on your own/Dinner on your own.

Day 09: Ubud.  Ubud market for shopping and walk to Nirvana Studio for 3-hour batik class.  Lunch on our own after class /afternoon into town for shopping or at leisure on your own/Dinner on your own.

Day 10: Ubud.  Morning & afternoon Cycling trip return to hotel around 4:30pm.  Refreshments & lunch included.  Dinner on our own.

Day 11:  UbudFree at leisure for shopping/sightseeing on your own.  Evening Kechak & Fire Dance performance.  Farewell dinner at Café Wayan.

Day 12: Ubud-Lombok.  Tansfer from Ubud to Denpasar Airport for flight to Lombok/1/2 day sightseeing at local market and village.

Day 13: Lombok.  Day at leisure-beach time.

Day 14: Lombok-Den Pasar-Seattle.  Transfer to Lombok airport for flight home.


Total: 14 days--12 Nights in Bali & Lombok-2 Days Traveling.
